Vanja Bokun Popović, PhD

Lecturer · Facilitator · Author

I work at the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, and human performance-exploring how individuals, teams, and leaders function under sustained pressure.

I focus on what allows clarity, coherence, and ethical action to return over time.

Context / Main Message

My work is concerned with how human systems reorganize over time when familiar strategies—effort, control, or willpower—are no longer sufficient.

Across personal transformation, high-performance sport, and leadership/business contexts, I focus on creating conditions in which deeper forms of intelligence can emerge, integrate, and be expressed with integrity.

Working at the interface between academic inquiry, practical application, and lived systems, I follow environments over time and collaborate on simple, humane structures that allow learning, recovery, and coordinated action to emerge.

Domains of Application

Core Orientation

Across these contexts, my work is guided by a small number of foundational principles:

Role & Background

I am a lecturer, facilitator, and author with over two decades of international experience across academic, applied, and performance-based environments. My background integrates psychological science, somatic and trauma-informed approaches, and depth-oriented perspectives on human development.

Media & Dialogue

I engage in public dialogue through lectures, interviews, panels, and written contributions exploring psychology, human performance, development, and the ethics of working with people under pressure.
